Working Group: Transforming Economies & Societies

Co-led by Chris Hopkins (GEC) and Katja Hujo (UNRISD), the Transforming Economies and Societies working group is for members of the network who are interested in sharing and collaborating around transformative change and economic issues. The group has produced blogs, briefings and webinars related to a range of issues connected to rethinking social contracts - progressive subsidy reforms, energy justice, beyond GDP and post-growth thinking, the role of public and private sectors in social change, taxation and fair fiscal contracts, and capabilities thinking. It meets regularly at 15:00 CET on a Thursday, the last week of January, March, May, July, Sept, Nov.
